Heartfelt gratitude to a man of quality and language perfectionist I praise the Lord for how paa Tening contributed in modelling hard work, diligence and excellence for me.
As CABTAL's bilingual secretary and later on GD's Assistant, knowing that a document I was working on would end in his hands as Board Chair helped me greatly, for he could spot one missing comma in a 30-page document and would follow up the correction process closely until the final version meets requirements. Each time my administrative performances were appreciated somewhere, he is one of those whose names came to my mind. And he combined this riguour with understanding in a beautiful way.
A man of principles, quite strict when it came to standards, rules and ethics, but compassionate and kind in his relationships. When we met on January 31, 2021, after about 8 years, little did I know that it was our farewell occasion. I was surprised that he recognised me, came to greet me, shared the awesome testimonies of how God had blessed the Pinyin NT work, dedication and warm welcome by the community in Cameroon and beyond. There was great excitement in his voice when he explained the next steps. I am very happy to see that God has enabled him to witness the completion of that work, in which he invested immensely.
I thank God for our years of collaboration. I appreciate paa Tening for investing in valuable causes, for being generous with his knowledge, skills and resources. To God be the glory.
