I grew up hearing of Uncle Mongwa for as long as I can remember. He was a very jovial person. l remember when he visited us in Abidjan, then l was 9 years old and how happy he was communicating with the whole family. As I grew older, this one quality l always saw in Uncle Mongwa, he was always very jovial and easy to talk to. I read the book he published "My Son as you leave home." The advice in that book helped me. He has left behind a legacy . The Pinyin community has lost a powerful legend: Mr. Tening Mongwa.
